Horse Hobby vs Paying the Mortgage!

In sympathy to many horse owners everywhere I created this design using a photo cutout of a horse head to centre the text "You Know there's something wrong when your Hobby costs more than your mortgage!". Its a sad truth but inescapable for some - dare I say many? horse obsessed people! A little sarcastic, sardonic humor for the horse world...
Why oh why do I still want one? LOL

A Woman's Place Is On Her Horse!

Ain't it the truth! A simple fact known by all horse women: a woman's place is on her horse! Well, I've done this design in shades of brown and in a faded, vintage look at Zazzle, T-shirtmonster (for Canadian shoppers!) and Skreened but now I'm bringing it out in black. A digitally painted black horse gallops toward the viewer with the text "A Woman's Place Is On Her Horse!" surrounding it. Creates a striking, bold statement for any horse crazy horse lover!

"Romance" Product Line for Horse Lovers

I've begun developing a product line with my original acrylic horse painting "Romance" which depicts two horses; a black stallion wrapping his neck and head over the neck of a bay mare. In the background a green and gold meadow gives way to distant trees and escarpment framed by summer's blue sky. It was fun to develop this painting from photos I took of some friend's horses, setting them in a more ideal background than they were in the photos. Now it is fun to see this painting on Tote Bags, mugs, greeting cards etc. at Zazzle. I hope others will enjoy it too!

Pink Pegasus

Its been a little while since I've worked on anything new. However this Pink Pegasus was a fun creation, resulting from a silhouette I created from a photo of my horse rearing and the addition of wings I drew. It was fun making it pink, though I've also made a couple of other colour variations (black and gray) and used it in a variety of ways. I've always loved Pegasus, always enjoyed the potential for flight and speed in my imagination. Maybe its one of the reasons I like riding jumps so much, though I haven't done much of it, it is thoroughly addicting!
