I've been foraying into the realm of digital painting and naturally have chosen horses as a favourite subject. This little foal is painted from a photo I took of a Hanoverian mare and her filly galloping in their paddock. I haven't yet painted the mare but plan to do works in various media of both mare and foal together. Such lovely bone structure and muscle definition in a foal...it made it wonderful to capture, a frozen moment in this filly's life.
