This poster of a tiny Sawhet Owl captures a portion of a pen & ink drawing I did several years ago. The whole piece encompasses the tiny owl sitting on a branch, surrounded by trees and branches that softly fade into the background. The style is Pointillism and the subject is created by many untold numbers of dots all created by dipping a stylus into an ink pot then painstakingly dotting it onto the paper. Depth, shading and markings are defined by placing the dots closer together or farther apart and varying the size of the dots by pressure control. I've used this drawing, and a subsequent watercolour I did on several products in my Zazzle store, from prints to tote bags and t-shirts.
